Motoring Helmet or Aviator Helmet

Motoring Helmet or Aviator Helmet

Sold

Leather Flying Helmet.
A lightweight leather flying helmet made from supple dark brown leather with a brown cloth lining. The WWII style leather aviator pilots cap has covered earflaps with popper fastening, goggle loop at the rear, adjustable leather straps for chin and forehead and with an elasticated rear. There is a Goodwood Aero Club, 2017 Member enamel lapel pin badge pinned onto the front of the helmet. This type of helmet was made and sold for use, not just by flyers, but also by motorists and by motor-cyclists. This leather flying helmet is fairly typical of the sort of protective helmet worn by pilots during the Wars. This appears to be a small/medium fit.

The Halcyon goggles sold separately priced at £125.

The display block is also available to purchase separately priced at £72.
