Texolex Safety Helmet.
An Original genuine 1960's Malcolm Campbell 'Texolex' safety helmet. Developed by Sir Malcolm Campbell in the 1960's and used by many, racing drivers to miners with British Patten Application No.20206/67. Embossed "Texolex" to the underside of the peak. With original leather 'Campbell Adjustable Head Cradle'. Head sweatband embossed with Campbells details 'A Texolex Safety Helmet, Malcolm Campbell, 5 Great James Street, London W.C.1'. This helmet is in great condition, size 7 to 7 ¾, barely worn with the headlining fresh with very little wear to the leather band.

Major Sir Malcolm Campbell was a British racing motorist and motoring journalist. He gained the world speed record on land and on water at various times during the 1920s and 1930s using vehicles called Blue Bird, including a 1921 Grand Prix Sunbeam. His son, Donald Campbell, carried on the family tradition by holding both land speed and water speed records (Wikipedia).
