Tiger Etching By Herbert Dicksee, The Destroyers.
A rather strong black and white wildlife picture of a pair of Tigers crouching on some rocks overlooking the open grassland below. The powerful etching is by Herbert Thomas Dicksee, published September 1st 1904 by Frost & Reed, signed in pencil by the artist and is known as 'The Destroyers'. The extra information printed around the image states "Published at 8 Clare Street Bristol by Frost & Reed. Printsellers of Bristol Clifton & London, September 1st, 1904, Berlin, Stiefbold & Co. 25 MarkgrafenStrasse, Copyright registered. Copyright 1904 in the United States of America by Frost & Reed of Bristol, England". A great image of tigers by Dicksee, in the bottom left hand corner, HERBERT DICKSEE 1904. The etching is mounted but unframed.
