Antique Bussey Balltail Lawn Tennis Racket
Ball Tail Tennis Racket, George Gibson Bussey.
A fine and rare example of a lawn tennis racket by Bussey & Co. 'The Tournament 2'. A nice 'Light' ash framed racket with Bussey's concave wavy wedge. The wedge is embossed in gilt 'The Tournament 2, LIGHT, GeoG Bussey & Co.'. The racket has a good straight frame with the original red cord shoulder whipping, a large groove down the center of the handle on both sides with smaller grooves to help with grip and finished off with an unusual Bussey ball tail handle.
The racket is in excellent condition with double central strings, three rows of trebling to the top and two to the bottom, stringing having been replaced at some time.
Price is for the racket only.
