Vintage Motorcycling Crash Helmet, Great Yarmouth Seagull MCC.
A black motorcycle, pudding basin shape helmet with Great Yarmouth Seagull MCC badge. The helmet fitted with a cloth headband and cloth straps keeping a space between the head and outer case of the helmet. Strong leather neck and ear flaps are also fitted as is a chin strap. Inside the helmet on the strap 'No. 114', maker unknown.
A very good helmet in good condition, approximately 56 cm internal circumference.

On Good Friday, March 27, 1964 Great Yarmouth Seagull MCC organised the 'Great Yarmouth Sprint Race', it was a one-off motorcycle sprint race held along the South Beach Parade. The Deputy Mayor of the seaside fishing town was Club President of GT Yarmouth Seagull MCC at the time. There was an entry of around 55 riders including many top sprinters of the day.
