ANTIQUE HICKORY 'PRO - SWING' PRACTICE GOLF CLUB.
The 'Pro - Swing' practice or warm up golf club has a hickory shaft, a lead weighted ball on the end of a spring and a polished leather grip. The club is in excellent original condition and the 'Pro-swing' clubs have become popular collectables. The shaft label reads 'Copy-right 1933 Pat. Applied For, Pro – Swing, Pro – Swing Golf Co. Inc., New York City.'.
The 'Pro – Swing' practice golf club is designed to make you swing the club correctly. It compels you to drag back the club head (instead of lifting it too soon), shift your weight correctly, put wrist snap into the shot and to follow through. To achieve this the lead ball is of the correct weight and is attached to a specially designed steel spring of exactly the right tension. The weight and spring together combine to 'invite' the wrists into action and to gently urge the body into an easy natural pivot. Regular practice with this club will groove you into the correct swing, producing a smooth rhythm and correctly applied power.
