Antique button backed two seater sofa.
This elegant 19th Century French two seat button back settee in the Napoleon III style with an elegant 'chapeau de gendarme' shape back, scroll arms and built in lumbar support provides all the style, support and comfort you could want. Perfect proportions, raised on five beech wood legs, the three front legs are well turned. Seat depth 53 cm.
This piece was fully reupholstered from the frame up in the traditional French manner by Christina Pether as her Lever 3 final AMUSF piece, for which she was awarded a distinction. The top fabric - 'truffle' by Sanderson
A very comfortable sofa indeed.
