Regency Mahogany Sarcophagus Wine Cooler
A superb-quality Regency mahogany wine or champagne cooler of sarcophagus form, featuring a cavetto-moulded hinged lid that opens to reveal its original lead-lined interior complete with dividers. The tapering body is designed with cut corners and adorned with reeded fan motifs and panelled detailing to the front and sides. It stands proudly on finely carved lion-paw feet fitted with recessed castors for ease of movement.
This is a great example of a Regency period wine cooler, presented in good original condition with a beautiful waxed patination.
