Vintage Fishing, Earl De Grey Fishing Record Book
Vintage Fishing, Earl De Grey Fishing Record Book
Earl De Grey Fishing Book.
A wonderful anglers record book with red leather cover, gilded pages and gilt title 'FISHING BOOK'. The fishing journal was printed by A. Webster & Company, Piccadilly, London, and was first used in 1904, only 14 pages have been used with the last entry in 1921. If you're a keen angler, or know one, then this is a stylish way of keeping track of everything that has been caught. There are columns for 'Date, River, No. of Fish, Total Weight, Weight of Largest, Flies, Wind and Weather, Remarks'. Memories of the riverbank are precious, so looking back over old fishing records will help bring forgotten days alive again. The front page has printed on it 'The Earl De Gray Fishing Book, printed and Published by A. Webster & Company, Royal Red Book Office, 60, Piccadilly, W'.
The records are from the river Dee & Spey.
