Set Of George Nicoll of Leven Hickory Shafted Golf Clubs
Set Of Six Playable George Nicoll Hickory Golf Clubs.
A very good set of six hickories (hickory shafted golf clubs) by Nicoll of Leven. The set is made up of all 'Zenith' irons and include No. 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 & No.8. The club heads are all stamped with Nicoll's 'hand' cleek mark, his autograph, the brand name 'Zenith' and Leven, Fife, Scotland. The hickory shafts par one are stamped 'Arthur Ross, Carnoustie'. All the clubs have had their heads removed and re-secured to the shafts with new brass pins and have new suede leather grips ready to hit the fairways. The iron heads with dot punched face markings and are hand forged rustless iron.
This is a great set of playable original hickory shafted golf clubs. If you are wishing to play some hickory golf the best balls to play with are low compression balls that will give at impact, such as ladies balls or soft feel balls.
No.2 Iron is 38 ½ inches in length and has an approximate 22° Loft.
No.3 Iron is 38 ½ inches in length and has an approximate 26° Loft.
No.4 Iron is 37 ½ inches in length and has an approximate 29° Loft.
No.5 Mashie is 37 ¼ inches in length and has an approximate 39° Loft.
No.7 Mashie - Niblick is 36 ¼ inches in length and has an approximate 45° Loft.
No.8 Niblick is 36 ¼ inches in length and has an approximate 50° Loft.
