A good persimmon wood hickory shafted driver by Charles Frank White. The club head and shaft marked with White's name and Burhill Golf Club. The club has a polished leather grip and the head has a lead weight to the rear.
A great driver in good original condition and very usable for modern hickory play. Approximate 12° loft and the best balls for hickory play are low compression balls that will give at impact, such as ladies balls or soft feel balls.
Charles Frank White first started at Burhill Golf Club in 1914 as the assistant to Charles Mayo, being the professional from 1919 to 1938.
