Antique Golf Club, Burke Driver
Persimmon socket head Driver with hickory shaft and polished leather grip. The head stamped with makers name 'Burke', surrounded by an oval garland. Instead of the usual lead weight, and to concentrate the weight better behind the club face, the last third of the back of the club head is made of a metal alloy. The sole plate is made of the same material and stamped 'D' for driver. It has a horn face insert with seven wooden pegs holding it in place.
A great club, for your collection or for hickory play.
