'The England's Favourite' is an 8' 6' split cane 2-piece rod made by Fosters, Ashbourne. The rod is in excellent condition with broad crimson inter-whipping, suction joint with a wooden stopper, fixed screw reel grip with a cork covered housing and 7' handle with a reversible butt spear. The butt rings are agate, intermediate and full open bridge rings. The rod is 8' 6' long and is in the original Fosters canvas bag, with cloth label. It has the painted black inscription spiraling around the shaft 'The England's Favourite' #5-6, Fosters, Ashbourne, Made in England, 8 ½'.
