Vintage 8'9" Hardy Trout Fly Fishing Rod, JJH Triumph.
The Hardy 'J.J.H.Triumph' is a split cane Palakona 2-piece rod made by Hardy's of Alnwick, it is in good condition with suction joints, sliding universal alloy band reel fitting, cork handle and snake rings. The rod has the registration number H 53042A dating it to 1963. The fly fishing rod is in the original Hardy's canvas bag, with label and has the black inscription spiralling around the shaft '#6, the 'J.J.H. Triumph, 'Palakona' and 'Regd. Trade Mark'. Hardy were the first manufacturer to make split cane rods in hexagonal form as The Hardy 'Palakona' rod.
Measurements of the two pieces, handle 1m 36cm - 2nd piece 1m 34cm.
