Vintage Wicker Creel.
A very good example of an early wicker pot bellied fishing creel. The creel is made in the traditional design with a hinged lid with leather buckle and a leather shoulder strap.
The creel was an important piece of equipment for the early angler as with the addition of damp moss, lining the bottom of the creel, it would keep the days catch fresh.
