A Victorian presentation cricket ball with gilt inscription on an ebonised wooden stand, . The ball is embossed "PRESENTED BY THE, BEES CRICKET CLUB, TO, MR. C. W. NEWBURY, FOR OBTAINING THE, BEST BOWLING AVERAGE, 9.11., SECOND TEAM, SEASON, 1887".
The ball is in very good condition with excellent patination.
