The text on the print is "Grand National Cricket Match, Played in the Outer Domain, Sydney, January 14th, 15th & 16th, 1857. By Eleven Players of N.S.Wales & Eleven of Victoria. To whom this plate is respectfully dedicated by their obedient servant J. Fowles'.
