Novelty Cricket Toast Rack.
A novelty plated cricket toast rack which can also be used as a letter rack or napkin holder. There are seven dividers creating six spaces for toast. The ring handle in the form of wickets (stumps and bails), two crossed bats and a cricket ball. The underside of the base stamped, 'Hutton, Sheffield, H2087', with an eight crossed arrow mark, which William Hutton & Sons Ltd. used from 1902. The firm was absorbed by another well known Sheffield silver smith, James Dixon & Sons in 1930.
