Billiard Lithograph - In The Billiard Room.
A very charming billiard picture, looks very much like a pencil drawing but is a lithographic print. The picture depicts five gentlemen playing billiards, one about to play the ball whilst smoking a pipe. The lithograph is mounted with a white mount card but underneath is a green card printed with title, artist and publisher, Im Billiardzimmer:"An Deiner Stelle Würde ich den Ball anders spielen." "Nein, ich wette, dass ich ihn so mache!" (In the billiard room: "In your place I would play the ball differently." "No, I bet I'll do it like that!"), C.W. Allers fec., Union Deutsche Verlagsgesellschaft, Stuttgart, Berlin, Leipzig. Dépoés! Registered! There is a printed artist signature "C.W. Allers" with the date 1889. A great little billiard print.
