A fine full size Mahogany Billiard or Snooker Table with octagonal shaped legs. The table has an inlaid ivory plaque with the manufacturers name ëCox & Yeman 184 Brompton Rd. Londoní. The cushions are stamped on the underside with the name ëM. Jonesí who was probably the cabinet maker working on the table. The table has a good provenance originating from Hinton House, the home of the Earl of Poulett who built a Reading Room for the village of Hinton St. George in 1905. He then donated this, his own Snooker Table in the year 1911 to the village. Late 19th century.
