This prepared fox' mask, fox head, is mounted on a good quality oak shield impressed to reverse no. 865, with taxidermist mark 'P. Spicer & Sons, Leamington'. The fox is mounted looking right, facing him our left, with a snarling pose. There is a white plaque for Dumfriesshire Foxhounds inscribed "DFH Kirkwood Dec. 26th 1946".
