Antique Vienna Bronze Rowing Sculpture, Victorious Rowing Figure.
Art Deco, cold painted Vienna Bronze sculpture of exceptional high quality of an oarsman holding his oar in one hand and holding aloft a laurel wreath in the other. The rower is mounted on a turned wooden base and then mounted onto a later bronze plinth. The rowing sculpture of the victorious sculler is a fine quality piece with excellent colour and patination, the rower is 10 ½ cm tall from head to toe. Signed, on the rear of the oar, with the Bergmann vase stamp 'B', for Franz Bergmann. Bergmann (1861-1936) is one of the most famous of the Vienna cold painted bronze artists.
