Vintage Leather Cartridge Magazine Case.
An original leather shooting cartridge magazine case, maker unknown. The cartridge case with wooden carcass covered in tan leather with tooling decoration to lid and with a brass lock but no key. The magazine case is in good original condition with one leather strap and single leather central carry handle. The linen interior fitted with four removable dividers, making five compartments, with adjustable leather cartridge lifting straps. A wonderful case with lovely patina and no old owners initials.
A cartridge magazine is a traditional method of storing cartridges between shoots. When on a shoot the cartridges needed would be removed and placed in a cartridge bag.
