Thin Hosel Hickory William Oke Putter.
Hickory shafted 'Staynorus' model patent W.G. Oke putter with extra-long hosel. The ultra-thin hosel on the William Oke's putter being 16 ½ cm long. His 1921 British patent which covered this club states that the player is less likely to be distracted when lining up a putt with the top of the hosel further away from the blade and the fact that the shaft does not bulge where it runs into the hosel. The idea behind the long hosel also allowed for more weight to be put into the blade. This superb club is in great original condition with hickory shaft with polished leather grip. The blade with dot punched face markings, rear of the club stamped "Hand Forged, Oak Brand Putter, W.G. Oke Fulwell G C, Special, Staynorus, Rustless, W.G. Oke, Reg.No. 680298, Pat.No. 176999".
