3½inch, Slater Nottingham Starback Walnut Fishing Reel.
A good, high quality, centre pin Nottingham Starback fishing reel made of walnut. The front plate with 4-screw brass centre plate incorporating quick release drum latch. Two ebonite handles mounted on brass eye plates, brass line guard, brass foot and star back with incorporated optional check lever. The reel is in good clean condition, it generally bears a patina commensurate with its age. No makers mark but the wooden Nottingham starback reels were first produced by David Slater.

Width size shown is without handles, handles are an extra 2 cm.
