Fishing Print By Cecil Aldin.
An early 20th century Edwardian fishing chromolithograph print by Cecil Aldin, from Old English Sporting Pictures. Following on the success of his Fallowfield Hunt series in 1899 and Bluemarket Races in 1901, Aldin produced twelve Old English Sporting Pictures in 1901. This is the fishing picture, typical of Aldin's picture very colourful and humorous. The picture depicts a gentleman sitting on the river bank fishing in the rain.
