Catch Of The Season Fly Fishing Prints by Lance Thackeray.
A set of four rare humorous fishing chromolithographic prints by Lance Thackeray titled: 'Catch Of The Season'. In their original oak frames and marked on the top left side 'Copyright 1905 by Landeker & Brown. London & Fishel Adler & Shwartz. New York'. Each picture with caption, and these are :- 1. 'Cast', 2. 'Hung Up', 3. 'A Nibble' and 4. 'Landed'. Newly remounted but kept in original oak glazed frames with gold slips, a great set of angling pictures.
Lance Thackeray (1869 - 1916), born in Darlington. He was an English illustrator known for his humorous sporting illustrations and was a founding member of the London Sketch Club.
