A fine pair of small humorous chromolithographs in original oak arts and crafts frames, the titles being carved into the wood of each picture, published by Lawrence & Jellicoe.
Image size: 14 1/2" wide by 8 1/4" high.
Cecil Aldin (1870 - 1935) was a prolific painter, not only is he known for his sensitive depiction's of his dogs, but he also painted scenes of hunting and racing. Aldin was the Master of the South Berkshire Hunt and was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1898.
