ANTIQUE EQUESTRIAN DINNER GONG.
This novelty dinner gong is made up of a large brass gong hanging from a snaffles bit which is supported by two copper hunting horns with nickel mouthpieces. The horns are mounted onto a polished solid oak base with a silvered shield for engraving and there are also two supports (in the form of spurs) to hold the riding crop shaped hammer. This is a fantastic piece. The horns are engraved by the maker, Henry Keat & Sons, 105 &103 Matthias Rd. Stoke Newington, London.
Also engraved on the horns are Prize Medals, By appointment to the War & India Offices, Contractors & Manufacturers, with the Rd. No. 65888 on the reverse.
