Vintage F.H. Ayres Croquet Set.
A good quality Ayres croquet set in original pine box with four boxwood mallets with guide lines on the tops of the heads and octagonal handles with cord grips, each stamped 'F.H. Ayres London'. To complete the set there are four coloured balls in the standard croquet colours, six bent metal hoops and two old winning post. There are also some boundary yard line pegs for marking the yard lines on a croquet court, coloured metal pegs, wooden mallet for hammering hoops with a wooden hoop protector. There are also four coloured sprung croquet clips in original cardboard box for making the progress of the balls through the hoops and four indicating discs to mark the balls on the lawn for interrupted games. A good comprehensive set for anybody's garden.
The mallets are 36 inches in length.
