A willow cricket bat with good colour and strung grip made by Lillywhite Frowd, London. The blade is embossed 'Jack Robertson', 'Autograph'. The bat is in good condition with some ball marks to the front of the blade and with a red rubberized grip.
John David Benbow "Jack" Robertson was born in Chiswick, London, in 1917. He was and outstanding English cricketer who played county cricket for Middlesex and played in eleven Test matches for England. He played for Middlesex from 1937 until 1959, but was at his peak in the late 1940s'.
