Cricket Lithograph, The Pavillion At The Lord's Cricket Ground.
This hand coloured lithograph was included in The Book of Field Sports edited by Henry Downes Miles and printed by Henry Lea. With more time for leisure activities many books were written on the subjects, The Book of Field Sports being one of many. The text had fascinating views of guns, rabbit, pheasant, duck, pigeon and grouse shooting, sporting dogs, birds, hunting with horses, coursing and was well illustrated with lithograph plates. This lithograph is titled 'Cricketing' (The Pavillion At The Lord's Cricket Ground), with extra text 'Drawn expressly for the "Book Of Field Sports", London: Henry Lea, 22, Warwick Lane, Paternoster Row' and with finely decorated borders.
