Vintage pair of Cecil Aldin prints 'Mated' and 'Revoked'.

A pair of gaming chromolithographs by Cecil Aldin in the original wide oak frames. Each frame has the title on a small ivorine plaque mounted to the bottom part of the frame with two small pins.
"MATED" depicts a couple of gentlemen playing a game of chess whilst "REVOKED" shows four gents in the middle of a heated game of cards.

Image size: 24" wide by 15" high.

Cecil Aldin (1870 - 1935) was a prolific painter, not only is he known for his sensitive depiction's of his dogs, but he also painted scenes of hunting and racing. Aldin was the Master of the South Berkshire Hunt and was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1898.
