Vintage Ice Pick, Stubai.
A good 'Stubai' ice axe, the handle is made from ash with a slightly serrated steel pick and with a wide adze. This is a fine quality Austrian ice pick in excellent condition with a canvas leash on a metal ring with a screw leash stop near the bottom of the shaft with the head being stamped 'Made In Austria, ASCHENBRENNER FUHRERPICKEL, GES.GESCH.' with the diamond 'STUBAI' logo.
Ice axes are multipurpose tools used by mountaineers in both the ascent and descent.
