Antique Ash Skis.
Ash ridge top skis with pointed tips, galvanised safety bindings and foot plates. The bindings have adjustable toe irons, cable bindings with coiled heel springs and leather foot straps. The skis are dark brown in colour with a polished finish and the running surface having a single groove along its length. Difficult to read but the bindings are marked "Brose-Coburg, patent Rildste Instrammer", toe irons "Allgaubindung".
Adjustable toe irons with cable and coiled heel springs were very popular from the mid 1930's to early 1950's, although there were many design variations of these bindings.
Ski poles are sold separately and are available on request.
