Vintage Kings Rack and Pinion Corkscrew.
A good working rack and pinion corkscrew, also called by some as a Kings Corkscrew. The metal cork screw is well made with a walnut handle and brush. Open your bottles of wine in style.
Rack and pinion corkscrews have been around since the late 18th century in many guises. To operate the wooden handle is turned to screw the worm into the cork. The metal handle on the side (the pinion) is then rotated creating linear movement with the central bar (the rack) thus drawing the cork out of the bottle, converting rotational motion into linear motion.
