Perille Flynut Corkscrew.
A French open frame fly nut corkscrew marked 'J. Perille, Depose, Paris, J.P'. Perille's design was patented in 1876. The fly-nut cork screw is plated over steel but with some loss of plating. This is a form of mechanical bottle opener with the placing of the collar of the frame over the bottle neck. By turning the top handle the worm is screwed into the cork. The flynut is then turned clockwise on the threaded shaft and the cork is then extracted from the bottle.
