Vintage Metal Spalding Tennis Racket, Metalite
Spalding Metalite Lawn Tennis Racket.
A fine example of a 1920's lawn tennis racket made by Spalding, 'Metalite'. The racket is made with a metal frame combined with a good thick wooden handle. The handle with nice decals 'Spalding Metalite' on the front and to the rear the Spalding tennis ball trade mark logo. On the side of the handle is 'Patent Applied For Pat May 4th 1926' and has the original leather butt cap also with the spalding trade mark logo. The stringing in good condition, the two central strings with repair. A nice looking racket.
