Square Leather Cartridge Magazine Case.
An unusual shaped leather cartridge magazine case with wooden carcass covered in tan leather and brass lock (not working and no key). The magazine case is in original condition with one original leather strap that also acts as a carrying handle. The interior contains three compartments for holding shot-gun cartridges. The interior of the case lined in cream linen and with three leather lifting straps.
A wonderful case with beautiful patina, lid with tram line decoration and remains of paper labels, maker unknown. The base with four brass stud feet. The nice thing about this cartridge case is that there are no old owner initials on the case.

Each compartment measures 6 ½ cm wide, 21 ½ cm deep & 21 ½ cm high.

A cartridge magazine is a traditional method of storing cartridges between shoots. When on a shoot the cartridges needed would be removed and placed in a cartridge bag.
