VINTAGE SALMON FISHING WATERCOLOUR PAINTING.
A fine watercolour fishing picture of a leaping Salmon. The painting is exceptionally large for a watercolour, painted by Charles Whymper (1853-1941).
Charles was the son of J. W. Whymper and exhibited from 1870. He was an English painter of landscapes, animal genre and angling subjects. He has also done illustrations for books on travel, sport and natural history, and published Egyptian Birds as well as several papers on the Pheasantry of England.
