Vintage Golf Ball Salts In Presentation Box.
A very rare set of 6 golf ball salts in original case by George Jamieson & Son, Aberdeen. The black presentation case with purple silk lining and crushed velvet fitted base. The hinged lid opens in half and on the inside of the two lids in gilt writing 'Geo. Jamieson & Son, Aberdeen'. The Gutta Percha balls have been hollowed out and fitted with silver bowls with the rims marked 'G.J & S., A.B.Dn' (George Jamieson & Son: Provincial silver mark of Aberdeen). There are three spoons with the set, originally six, the handle made to look like the grip of a golf club.
A rather splendid golf inspired table piece, ideal for the golf enthusiast.

Each golf ball salt stands 1 ½ inches high and is 1 ¾ inches round.
