A pair of extremely comfortable arm chairs with cream leather covers designed by Ingmar Relling and exported by Westnofa. These stylish 60's armchairs have a chrome tubular frame with solid rosewood central spacers, leather arm rests and canvas and leather slings supporting the leather cushions. These fantastic easy lounge chairs are in excellent vintage condition and are made with simplicity, minimalism, elegance and uncompromising quality.
Ingmar Relling (1920-2002) was a well known Scandinavian designer who created minimalistic functional furniture. He is considered as one of the greatest contributors to the golden era of Scandinavian Design. His greatest design was the Siesta chair which he created in 1965 and earned him first prize at the Industry Council for Furniture and Furnishing Industry Chair competition the same year. The Siesta chair is a recognised classic piece of furniture.
From what we can find out Westnofa was not an actual furniture company. They were created in the 50's as an export company for several of the top Scandinavian manufacturers.
