#15524

Billiard / Snooker Cue, Horace Lindrum.
A spliced beech olive and hard wood cue with an ivorine disc - Club Cue Horace Lindrum. He was born in 1912 in Paddington, Sydney, the nephew of Walter Lindrum a World Champion Billiard player. Horace became an Australian professional snooker and carom billiards player around 1931, playing competitively until 1957. He won the Billiard Association & Control Council World Championship in 1952, beating Clark McConachy. However, his title is now largely ignored as at the time most professionals played a separate tournament after a disagreement with the governing body. However, although Lindrum was beaten 3 times by Joe Davis, he was the only man considered capable of giving the World Champion a reasonable game.
