The Schotten Hickory Challenge 2012

The Schotten Hickory Challenge took place on the 20th July and was again played over 18 holes at Burford Golf Club. 48 players turned up to take on the challenge and go back in time to enjoy a round of 1920's golfing experience.

They attacked the course with vigour armed only with Drivers, Brassies, Mid Irons, Mashies, Mashie -Niblicks, Niblicks and Putters all of which were original hickory-shafted golf clubs.
The participating male and female players dressed to impress in 1920's style outfits. The event was the third year in aid of the Cotswold charity Kate's Home Nursing, with over £3000 being raised.

The Schotten's would like to thank everyone involved for their support.

Kate's Home Nursing provide hospice at home nursing care for those in the last stage of illness, filling the gap that the statutory sector cannot and giving respite to the patient's primary carer.

Kate's cover the area between Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Northleach and Burford, in the Cotswolds.
